Capacity Max and SmartPTT Plus

With the release of R2.7.0, several new features have been added to SmartPTT Plus and released as version 9.1:

Up to 15 (VRC) Voice and Data Gateways

One Radioserver is now able to support up to 15 VRC Gateways and up to 15 Data Gateways. This allows a greater level of flexibility in terms of design resillieance.

Redundant Voice Gateway and Data Gateway support

Each of the 15 VRC abd Data Gaeways can have redundancy.

Redundant Trunking Controller support

SmartPTT Plus is now able to support up to 1 Primary and up to 4 Redundant Trunking Controllers.

Synchronisation of settings between Main and Redundant SmartPTT Plus Radioservers

Relevant configuration changes in the Main Radioserver are automatically transfererred to the Redundant Radioserver upon saving - the same would apply the other way too. The configuration synchronisation can also be pushed to the other server.

System Alarm display

Information about the status of certain system elements can now be displayed on the dispatchers screen. This information would normally be only visible in System Advisor.

Stun / Revive support

The SmartPTT Plus dispatcher is now able to Stun or Revive (shown as Block and Unblock) radio units. This feature is also known as radio disable and radio enable in other MOTOTRBO systems.

Radio Kill (equipment permanently disable)

One is able to now permanently disable a radio unit from the dispatcher. Note that Radio Kill permanently disables the radio and the only way to reenable it is to send it to Motorola for repair - therefore this should only be used on radios which are confirmed as being stolen. A killed radio cannot be read or reprogrammed.

Indoor Location Beacon (iBeacon) shown in Call Window

If iBeacons are used for indoor tracking, the closest iBeacon can now also be shown on the call window. This allows the dispatcher to see where the radio user is while talking to them.

Support for dispatch on Extended Range Direct Mode channels

SmartPTT Plus can now be connected to a repeater operating in ERDM using the same topology that is used for IPSC.

Additional audio filtering parameters for control stations

If a control station is used, the Radioserver can apply numerous audio filters to the outboud audio to filter out any unwanted frequency characteristics.

Support for voice storage in OGG (Vorbis) and WAV (AAC) formats

SmartPTT Plus now supports voice storage in OGG (Vorbis) and WAV (AAC) formats, in addition to MP3 (MPEG2).
